Mumbai: Govinda and wife Sunita Ahuja on Wednesday put all speculations about an impending divorce to rest by celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi at home in a coordinated outfit.
The couple were also seen distributing sweets to the paparazzi gathered outside their residence.
Speaking to the media, Sunita said, “Aaj itna close, close… agar kuch hota toh hum itne nazdeek hotey? Humaari dooriyan hoti! Koi hum dono ko alag nahi kar sakta hain, chahe upar se koi aa jaaye bhagwan aa jaaye, koi shaitaan nahi aa jaaye. Koi nahi alag kar sakta hai. Ek picture tha na ‘Mera Pati Sirf Mera Hai’ waise hi mera Govinda sirf mera hi hai aur kisi ka nahi hai. Jab tak hum moonh na khole tab tak aap please aap log koi bhi cheez mein na boliye (If something had happened, then we wouldn’t have been so close today. We would’ve maintained distance between us. No one can separate us, not even God…. Govinda is only mine. Till we discuss things with you, please don’t talk about it.).”
For the unversed, a report in Hauterrfly claimed that Sunita had filed for divorce case from Govinda on grounds of adultery and cheating.
However, Govinda’s manager, Shashi Sinha, rubbished the reports and stated that while there were differences between the couple earlier, things have been sorted out now.
Sunita and Govinda tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in 1987 and have two children, Tina and Yashvardhan.
