Malkangiri: A doctor posted at Kalimela Community Health Centre (CHC) in Odisha’s Malkangiri district was allegedly abducted by Maoists from his official quarters on Saturday night.
He has been identified as Amlan Bhoi.
According to sources, a Maoist poster was found in front his house. Though the exact reason behind the kidnapping is unclear, it is being attributed to postmortem of a body at the CHC during which he had picked up a quarrel with some people.
Kalimela police have seized the poster and begun an investigation to trace the doctor on the basis of a complaint lodged by the hospital authorities.
