Bhubaneswar: Having been able to attract projects involving 54 industrial units worth Rs.1,11,500 cr within five months of ‘Make In Odisha Conclave’, the Naveen Patnaik government is planning to further ease the process of doing business in the state by brushing up its reform mechanism. The conclave was organized in December 2016.

At a meeting here on Tuesday, Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi reviewed the reforms introduced so far and directed the departments concerned to ensure proper implementation of those already notified by the state government. “The district and field level officers should be fully aware about the importance and objectives of the reforms and implement those proactively,” he said.

The meeting decided to further simplify the procedural compliances for doing business in the state. A compendium of reforms introduced till the date have been put on the website http://www.investodisha.org/eodb/compedium.

The Chief Secretary directed the departments to complete the process of reform and their implementation by 31st October. Respective departments were also asked to publicize the reforms already introduced. The meeting further decided to have regular review of the implementation of the reforms at various levels.

The proposal on shifting to online single window system from e-BIZ single window was also discussed in the meeting. This system after implementation would provide an online platform for application, payment, tracking and downloading for approval of industrial projects. This would be the frontal online platform to which the existing online systems of various departments would be integrated.
