Bhubaneswar: In a reshuffle in IAS cadres, the state government on Wednesday transferred five officers to new departments.
While 1989-batch officer Dr Mona Sharma has been appointed as the new principal secretary of tourism and culture department, Chithra Arumugam (1995-batch officer) has been given charge as commissioner-cum-secretary of women and child development and mission shakti department.
Vishal Kumar Dev, a 1996-batch officer, is the new commissioner-cum-secretary of sports and youth services with additional charge of chief managing director, Odisha Hydro Power Corporation (OHPC) Limited, while Subha Sharma (1999-batch officer) has been appointed as the commissioner-cum-secretary of handloom, textiles and handicrafts department.
Similarly, 2001-batch IAS officer Dodda Venkata Swamy has been appointed as the new revenue divisional commissioner (northern division), Sambalpur.
