Rayagada/Sonepur: On the allegation of possessing disproportionate assets, Vigilance sleuths on Thursday conducted simultaneous raids on the offices and houses of a government engineer in Rayagada district and a panchayat official in Sonepur district.
In Rayagada district, the anti-corruption officials raided the office and the official residence of the Assistant Engineer, Works Division-II, Uddhab Padhi, in Gunupur.
The Vigilance officials also raided his other houses at five places in Berhampur, Dharakote and Puri.
In Sonepur district, Vigilance officials from Sambalpur Division raided the office of the Panchayat Extension Officer (PEO) of Cherupali Gram Panchayat of Dunguripali block, Duryodhan Meher, and his residence at Manikeswari Pada in Sonepur town.
