Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has issued the standard operating procedure (SOP) to all districts to implement the holiday homework programme for school students.
The School and Mass Education department, in an official notification on Monday, said as per its announcement earlier, holiday homework programme for the students from Class I to X will be held during the summer vacation from Monday. All district administrations have been directed to follow the SOP strictly.
The SOP stated that a help desk cell has been opened in every district for the programme. Four teachers including subject experts have been appointed in each cell to guide the students. The cell will remain open on all working days from 6 am to 6 pm and function in two sessions.
The students have been issued a toll-free number to contact the help desk to clarify their doubts about the homework and teachers would help them in solving their problems.
In order to keep a watch on the performance of the students in the homework assigned to them, the help desk has been given a separate toll free number. The teachers in the cells can contact the headmasters and teachers to enquire about the students of respective schools, the SOP mentioned.
