Bhubaneswar: The state government has okayed implementation of 10 per cent quota for economically weaker sections (EWS) in admissions to medical institutions from this academic year.
The government has given its nod for increasing MBBS seats in the state by 150 and post-graduate (MD/MS) intake by 148. But the Medical Council of India’s board of governors will take a final call on this, sources said.
