Bhubaneswar: Union Minister and senior BJP leader Dharmendra Pradhan on Tuesday alleged that a couple of officials of the state government are working as political party agents as he raised concerns over the fairness of the ensuing polls.
Dharmendra, who met the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) here following his visit to the Ganjam district, said there is an element of fear all around as the ruling BJD has been terrorising voters in Hinjili constituency from where the CM is contesting and in Chikiti and Sorada assembly segments.
“A couple of government officials are running amok and working as political party agents undermining all service rules and conditions. We met the DGP today and expressed our apprehensions. We hope the election observers and DM, SP would ensure that the booths are not looted in CM’s home district,” he said, adding, they had also presented a list of sensitive booths in Odisha to the Election Commission.
Dharmendra’s visit to CEO came soon after the CM met and requested him to lift the curb on money transfer to the farmers under the KALIA scheme.
