Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday sanctioned Rs 12.81 crore for 58 panchayats in three blocks of three districts under Ama Gaon Ama Bikash Yojana at the block level.
The chief minister sanctioned the amount for 543 projects after interacting with the block representatives through video conferencing at the State Secretariat here.
Of the sanctioned amount, Rs 2.52 crore has been earmarked for 88 projects in 14 panchayats of Koraput block in Koraput district, Rs 6.16 crore for 295 projects in 28 panchayats of Golamunda block in Kalahandi district and Rs 4.13 crore for 160 projects in 16 panchayats of the Kakatpur block in Puri district.
The chief minister advised the people and the block representatives to ensure timely completion of the projects.
This is for the third time that the state government has sanctioned the projects under the scheme at the block level.
Among others, chief secretary, principal secretary, Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water and senior officials of the concerned departments were present.
