Cuttack: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on his first visit to Cuttack city on Monday said the state government would come up with new plans to resolve all the issues in the city.
On his arrival in the Millennium City, the chief minister first went to the birthplace of Netaji Subash Bose at Odia Bazaar and offered floral tributes before his statue. He also went around the Netaji Museum where the materials used by Netaji have been kept on display.
“It is a matter of privilege for me to visit the sacred place where Netaji Subash Bose was born. Netaji will always remain a source of inspiration for the youths for his contribution to the freedom struggle of the country,” he said.
The chief minister then went to the office of vernacular daily Samaj at Buxi Bazaar and offered florl tributes before the statute of Pandit Gopabandhu Das. Majhi also offered tributes to Madhusudan Das before his statue at Cantonment square in the city.
He ended his visit by attending the concluding function of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in Routpatna. Finally, he went to the house of former minister Samir Dey and had a meeting with him.
Speaking to media persons during the visit, the chief minister said all the incomplete projects in the city would be put on fast track to complete those soon. Besides, the government would come up with new plans for faster development of Cuttack, he added.
