The Odisha government has been making efforts to provide all possible support to students with the aim to nurture talent at the school level.
At Badkarle Government UP School in Sonepur district, 52 high achiever students are currently attending extra classes on holidays and beyond school hours on working days.
Sonepur Collector Monisha Banerjee posted pictures of the ongoing classes on her official Twitter handle in which students can be seen sitting on the ground and studying while teachers are keeping an eye on them.
“Extra classes are going on for the 52 high achievers of Badkarle Govt. UP School on holidays and beyond school hours on working days with the active participation of six teachers and four SMC members to nurture their talent and continue the success of the school,” she tweeted.
Former Parliamentarian, Kalikesh Singh Deo, however, expressed surprise over the pictures and wrote, “Why are they on the floor and not in the classrooms?”
