Jharsuguda: Vigilance officials apprehended a Gram Rozgar Sevak (GRS) in Odisha’s Jharsuguda district while allegedly receiving a bribe of Rs 14,000 on Friday.
The Gram Rozgar Sevak has been identified as Manoj Kumar Sahu.
According to sources, the Vigilance sleuths laid a trap and caught Sahu red-handed while he was allegedly accepting the bribe from a person for facilitating allotment of a house under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) as well as for the preparation of muster rolls for payment of dues in his favour and his family members.
A case has been registered under Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act 2018, and simultaneous searches have been launched at two locations to ascertain disproportionate assets.
