Grand Welcome To Vedanta Chairman Anil Agarwal By Eminent Personalities Of Odisha

Bhubaneshwar: Billionaire industrial magnet and Vedanta Group Chairman Anil Agarwal was accorded a grand welcome by Odisha’s emiment personalities with whom he had a unique interactive session in Bhubaneswar.

Agarwal, who was on a visit to the state capital for Make is Odisha Conclave 2022, attended a unique session with Odisha #1st eminent personalities forum comprising 19  persons representing various fields of excellence like science and technology, heath, education, dance, music, literature, sports, etc.

In his address to the distinguished group, the Vedanta Chairman expressed his gratitude for their continuous support and said he would further step up his participation in the progress and development of the state. He also recollected his association with legendary Biju Patnaik and Naveen Patnaik.

Eminent personalities including 7 Padma Bibhusan, Padma Bhusan and Padmashri recipients like renowned flutist Hariprasad Chaurasia, stone sculptor Sudharshan Sahoo, writer Pratibha Ray, Paralympic gold medalist Pramod Bhagat, Hockey India President Dillip Tirkey, Odissi exponent Aruna Mohanty, Odissi danseuse Illeana Citaristy, stone artist Prabhakar Maharana, former AIIMS Director Dr A k Mohapatra, technocrat Dr Damodar Acharya, actress Nandita Das, former State Finance Commission member Prof Sudhakar Panda, noted social worker Aarati Devi,  Lt Gen J K Mohanty, Justice (retd.) B K Mishra, Ex-Chairman of State Human Rights Commission, Prof. Jayant Parida, Director- KIIT International Study Centre, Odia superstar Sabyasachi Mishra, Swami Shri Jagadanand of Swami Shivanand Organisation, Ex- Director, Bhaba Atomic Research Centre, A K Das and others.

Chaurasia, who is Chairman of the Odisha #1st forum extended  appreciated Agarwal’s contribution for industrial development of the state. Sudarshan Sahu in his interaction reminded Agarwal of the invitation of legendary personality Biju Patnaik to set up industry in Jharsuguda and lanjigarh. He also complimented Vedanta Chairman for actively participating to the development of the State.

Pratibha Ray hailed the good work done by Vedanta in the state, while Aruna Mohanty, Illeana Citaristy and Prabhakar Maharana profusely thanked Agarwal for the initiatives of Vedanta for promoting the cultural excellence of the state.

All the eminent persons thanked Agarwal for bringing transformation in Jharsuguda and Lanjigarh and requested him to further invest in Odisha. They also suggested different projects in the areas of education, health, art and Culture as may be felt appropriate by him.

The prominent personalities also complimented CEO– Aluminium Business, Vedanta Limited, Rahul Sharma and  Vedanta Aluminium President T K Chand for taking up several initiatives for the people. They said Vedanta has stood with the people of Odisha in the time of the need.
