Bhubaneswar: In order to facilitate development of renewable energy in Odisha, GRIDCO has launched “Go Green” portal.
Chairman of GRIDCO and Additional Chief Secretary, Energy Department Nikunja Dhal launched the portal https://greenenergyinvest.odisha.gov.in/ in Bhubaneswar on Friday. Developed by GRIDCO, the portal aims at facilitating renewable energy development as mandated by OREP-2022 by providing a single window platform for the developers in the state.
Speaking on the occasion, Dhal said the portal is a user-friendly platform and will facilitate the prospective renewable energy developers for clearance of their projects. It will further boost the mechanism to monitor the project approval process.
“The portal will streamline the review and approval process for renewable energy projects and provide a secure and efficient means for project registration, tracking and communication. It will also facilitate development, implementation and maintenance of the projects,” he added.
It may be noted that GRIDCO has been designated as the nodal agency for implementing Odisha Renewable Energy Policy. As many as 7 Solar PV projects with a cumulative capacity of 202.27 MW have been approved with an investment of Rs 762.39 crore so far.
Besides, the single window committee has approved to carry out studies for setting up a 49.50 MW wind project at Deomali Hills in Koraput with an estimated investment of Rs 375 crore.
