Patna: Around 90 people, who attended a wedding at a village in Paliganj of Patna, have tested positive for COVID-19.
The incident came to light after the 30-year-old groom died two days after walking down the aisle and the villagers cremated him without getting him tested for COVID-19.
When the Patna district administration was intimidated about the incident, they got the close relatives of the couple tested for COVID-19. Around 15 of them tested positive for coronavirus, while the bride tested negative.
Soon, the district administration began contact tracing and on Monday, nearly 80 guests, who had attended the wedding, tested positive COVID-19.
