Bhubaneswar: Holi celebrations are incomplete without peppy Bollywood numbers playing at the backstage. Here’s a list of popular Bollywood tracks that should be on your playlist this Holi:

  1. Balam Pichkari– This song from the movie ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone is a smashing hit of 2013. The onscreen couple is quite popular among youngsters.
  2. Do Me A Favour Let’s Play Holi– This song from ‘Waqt- A Race Against Time’ (2005) was sung by Anu Malik and Sunidhi Chauhan. The song features Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra and Amitabh Bachchan.
  3. Holi Khele Raghuveera – This song from the 2003’s ‘Baghbaan’ was sung by Amitabh Bachchan, Alka Yagnik, Udit Narayan and Sukhwinder Singh. The song features Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini celebrating the festival of Holi.
  4. Soni Soni Akhiyon Wali– This song from the movie ‘Mohabbatein’ (2000), features Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Uday Chopra, Jugal Hansraj, Jimmy Shergill, Shamita Shetty, Kim Sharma, Preeti Jhangiani. The song was sung by Udit Narayan, Jaspinder Narula, Udbhav, Manohar Shetty, Shweta Pandit.
  5. Ang Se Ang Lagana– This song from the movie ‘Darr’ (1993) was sung by Alka Yagnik and Vinod Rathod. It features Shah Rukh Khan, Juhi Chawla and Sunny Deol.
  6. Holi Ayi Holi Ayi – Sung by Kishore Kumar and Lata Mangeshkar, this song is from 1984’s ‘Mashaal’. It stars Anil Kapoor, Dilip Kumar, Waheeda Rehman, Rati Agnihotri And Amrish Puri.
  7. Rang Barse Bheege Chunar Wali– This 1981’s popular number is from the movie ‘Silsila’. It was sung by Amitabh Bachchan, while the lyrics were composed by his father Harivansh Rai Bachchan. The song features Amitabh Bachchan, Rekha, Sanjeev Kumar and Jaya Bhaduri.
  8. Holi Ke Din Dil Mil Jaate Hai– This song featuring Hema Malini and Dharmendra is from the 1975’s blockbuster movie ‘Sholay’. It was sung by Kishore Kumar and Lata Mangeshkar.
  9. Jai Jai Shiv Shankar– This song is from the 1974 movie ‘Aap Ki Kasam’. It features Rajesh Khanna and Mumtaz. It was sung by Lata Mangeshkar and Kishore Kumar.
  10. Aaj Na Chodenge– This song starring Rajesh Khanna and Asha Parekh is from the 1971 movie ‘Kati Patang’. It was sung by Kishore Kumar and Lata Mangeshkar.
  11. Arre Ja Re Hat Natkhat – This song from the movie ‘Navrang’ (1959) was sung by Asha Bhosle and Mahendra Kapoor. It stars Mahipal, Sandhya and Ullas.
