Bhubaneswar: Days after the body of a woman was recovered from a toilet of a train in Bhubaneswar, the Government Railway Police (GRP) has put up posters as part of efforts to establish her identify.
The posters have been put up at railway stations in different places including Bhubaneswar and other crowded places in order to ascertain the identity of the woman, sources said.
It may be noted that the body of the unidentified woman was found in a toilet of Dhanbad-Bhubaneswar Express train (02831) after it arrived at Bhubaneswar railway station on Thursday. The body was found inside the lavatory of S/5 coach of the train.
The GRP in its posters said that the body appeared to be that of a married woman with around five feet height, a slim figure and dusky complexion. She wore salwar and kurti, red bangles and an imitation ‘Mangalsutra’.
The identity of the person giving information about the unidentified woman will be kept secret and suitable rewards will be given, it said.
The GRP has given phone numbers – 9438122528, 9438916892 and 7008297947 – for sharing information about the woman.
