Khurda: The body of a Gram Rozgar Sevak (GRS) was found hanging in a house in Odisha’s Khurda district under mysterious circumstances with his family alleging that he was murdered.
The incident reportedly took place in Nabin Bagh area under the jurisdiction of Khurda Town police station. The deceased, identified as Soumya Ranjan Mahan, was staying in the house of a former OAS officer on rent, sources said.
The deceased, who was working in Gadbadput panchayat as a GRS, hailed from Kanas area of Puri district. His body was found hanging from the ceiling fan in a room.
His family members alleged that Soumya Ranjan was murdered and then his body was hanged. Alleging that he was murdered over a love affair, they demanded thorough investigation into the incident.
