Keonjhar: A notice has been served to JSW Steel Limited in Keonjhar district for alleged irregularities in the company’s Goods and Services Tax (GST) payment.
According to the notice by the GST Enforcement wing in Barbil, JSW Steel Limited had to pay Rs 602.81 in GST to the Central and State governments towards GST between April 2020 and March 2021.
The company has, however, paid only Rs 401.16 crore, the notice said. Besides, the company has allegedly utilised a portion of the same wrongfully, it added.
The GST Enforcement wing has directed the company to pay the due tax amount along with the applicable interest by September 17 (Friday).
