Bhubaneswar: Odisha State CT & GST Enforcement Wing on Monday raided a fly ash factory in Cuttack.
A fraud amounting to Rs 4.38 crore was allegedly carried out by claiming erroneous refunds from the GST by the firm’s proprietor.
A team of 10 officers of GST Enforcement Squad raided Maa Sarala Fly Ash Bricks and detected a GST fraud involving erroneous refund claims of Rs 4.38 crore. “The refund was claimed under inverted duty structure,” stated an official release.
The team also found a mismatch in quantity of raw material manufactured with the consumed cement.
