Bhubaneswar: Continuing the drive against tax evaders in the state, GST authorities carried out raids in two districts on Thursday.
The enforcement wing of Odisha State Central Tax and Goods and Services Tax (CT GST) conducted the raids on three gutkha companies at four places of Puri and Khurda districts including two in Bhubanewar and one each in Puri and Jatni.
The offices of Koushik Enterprisers in Puri and Jatni and that of Jagannath Multi Food & Tobacco and Divine Bacchus Private Limited in Bhubaneswar were raided.
It may be noted that the GST officials had detected GST fraud amounting to over Rs 4.38 crore during raids on Maa Sarala Fly Ash Bricks in Cuttack city on February 14.
