Guidelines Issued For Gajalaxmi Puja In Odisha’s Kendrapada

Kendrapada: Ahead of Gajalaxmi Puja in Kendrapada town scheduled to begin from October 30, the district administration on Wednesday issued guidelines for the conduct of the weeklong festival amid COVID-19 pandemic.

Informing the media, Kendrapada SP Niti Shekhar said that the members of the puja committees have been asked to cover all four sides of the puja mandap and perform the rituals of the Goddess. Besides, a maximum of seven persons of each puja committee will be allowed to remain present at the puja mandap.

The SP also said that the puja committees have been strictly instructed not to make any lighting arrangements, decoration of the puja mandaps, and refrain from playing music and making mike announcement.

Notably, Kendrapada has so far reported 7401 COVID-19 cases and 19 among them have succumbed to the infection.
