Koraput: Gujarat police, with the help of local police, on Tuesday arrested one person on the charges of cheating.
The arrested man has been identified as Nilesh Rasikalar and was nabbed from Lane 4 in Nua Sahi. Gujarat police was on the lookout for him in connection with a cheque dishonour case.
Rasikalar who was staying in Gujarat’s Anand and had fled to Jeypore after defrauded people of lakhs of rupees. A case was registered with Anand police.
Jeypore Town police station IIC Sanjay Kumar Mandal said the Anand police got clues in the case which led them to Jeypore. Accordingly they contacted local police and were successful in nabbing Rasikalar. After taking his custody, they have left for Anand, said Mandal.
