Congress MLA Imran Khedawala tested positive for COVID-19 hours after attending a meeting with Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and two other ministers.
He had reportedly attended a press conference as well.
The MLA from Jamalpur-Khadia had high temperature for a few days and sent his samples for test. Khedawala has been accused of not staying in self-quarantine while waiting for the results.
He has been admitted at Gandhinagar’s SVP hospital.
Though Khedawala had adhered to social distancing norms during his meeting with the Chief Minister, authorities are analyzing the situation and will decide who to test and not.
