Ahmedabad: Former Team India off-spinner Harbhajan Singh is among the 20 ‘star’ campaigners of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for the upcoming Gujarat Assembly polls.
The 42-year-old Harbhajan, India’s second-most successful spinner with 417 Test and 269 ODI wickets, is an AAP-nominated Rajya Sabha MP.
Harbhajan apart, Delhi CM and party chief Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, the party’s Gujarat chief ministerial face Isudan Gadhvi, Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha and singer Anmol Gagan Maan are among the other star campaigners on PM Narendra Modi’s home turf.
AAP, which has said it will contest in all 182 constituencies, has released names of 158 candidates.
Elections in Gujarat will be held in two phases — on December 1 and 5.
