Gulf Odia Association Organises 5th Annual Function In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The Gulf Odia Association (GOA) organised its fifth annual function with fanfare in Odisha capital on Sunday.

Hundreds of GOA’s members along with their family members and well-wishers from Saudi Arab, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, UAE and Abu Dhabi attended the function which was held in offline mode after a gap of three long years due to COVID pandemic.

President of the Association Ajay Kumar Das, in his speech at the function, highlighted the vision of GOA and its commitment towards all-round development of Odisha. “Marching on the motto of “Service above Self”, GOA has been dedicated to promoting social and cultural heritage of Odisha across the Gulf countries for the last five years,” he said. He thanked Sai Ashirbad Infratech’s Managing Director Subodh Kumar Rout for his support to the philanthropic pursuits of GOA.

Chairman of World Odisha Society Kishore Dwibedi lauded the GOA initiatives in popularsing brand Odisha in the Gulf countries. He appreciated its efforts towards providing assistance to Odisha in health, education and sanitation sectors during the pandemic.

Well-known poet Gyana Hota entertained the gathering with his mesmerising oratory. The secretary of GOA Pyarimohan Mallick outlined various social and community services of GOA through a power point presentation.

CEO of Easy Bank Loan Debasish Pattanaik explained different ways of securing bank loans in an easy and hassle free manner. The representatives of ICICI Bank consisting of Odisha Zonal Head Pradosh Rout, International Desk in-charge Ramandeep Singh and marketing manager Rajesh Pattanaik were given a rousing reception on the occasion.

Senior Member of GOA Bidya Bhushan Mohanty extended a warm welcome to the participants. Noted singers Anindita Das, RS Kumar, Jyotirmayee Nayak and Mousami Das enthralled the audience with their musical numbers. The upcoming Odissi dancer Vedanshi Das showcased an attractive performance.

Cultural secretary of GOA Banabihari Mohanty coordinated the cultural presentations while anchor Ankita Mohanty conducted the session.
