Bhubaneswar: The state government has decided to establish Haj House at Pokhariput in the state capital, chief minister Naveen Patnaik said here on Thursday.
The chief minister said land for the purpose has already been identified. “A total of 100 multi-purpose community centres will be constructed in the next three years for the benefit of Muslims in the state. Besides, a sum of Rs 5 crore has been sanctioned for the development of educational institutions meant for children belonging to minority communities,” he said.
Naveen felicitated the pilgrims from Odisha, who will attend the annual Haj at Mecca in Saudi Arabia this year.
