Haldi Ceremony Kicks Off Naga Chaitanya & Sobhita Dhulipala’s Pre-Wedding Festivities

Mumbai: Pre-wedding festivities of Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala kick-started on Friday with the ‘Mangalasnanam’ ritual.

Also known as Haldi ceremony, ‘mangalasnanam’ was celebrated in the presence of close friends and family members.

As pictures from ‘mangalasnanam’ ritual went viral on social media, fans couldn’t stop raving about the beautiful couple.

Would-be groom Chaitanya looks charming in a kurta-pyjama and is seen admiring his lady love Sobhita with a sparkle in his eyes.

The would-be bride looks beautiful in a red saree.

The couple’s wedding invitation card features names of Sobhita and Chaitanya, along with the names of both families across generations.

The card is designed keeping in mind the traditional South Indian design elements, including temple bells and brass lamps.

The invitation message on the card reads as, “We are delighted to announce the wedding of Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya. Your good wishes and blessings are much appreciated on this special occasion.”

A source close to the couple shared that the wedding, in traditional South Indian rituals, will be an 8-hour long ceremony.

“It’s going to be more than 8-hour long wedding rituals according to the Telugu Brahmin traditions, which is what Sobhita and Chaitanya are following for their wedding,” said the source.

“In order to honour the cultural aspects and give respect and attention to all the beautiful details of a Telugu wedding they are going all out with an over 8-hour traditional hard-core old school wedding,” he added.

While talking about the intimate wedding, Chaitanya’s father Nagarjuna told Zoom, “December 4 is around the corner. We are hosting wedding at the Annapurna Studios, the family studio that my father built. We planned it as an intimate ceremony, but even by limiting the guest list, we expect quite a large attendance. We have a large family, so does Sobhita.”
