Half-Charred Body Of Youth Found In Kandhamal

Baliguda: Half-charred body of a youth was found near Dandapadar petrol pump in Baliguda of Kandhamal district on Saturday.

Some passerby spotted the body lying on the roadside and immediately alerted police.

According to sources, a blade and a bottle containing petrol were recovered near the body.

Though the reason behind the death is yet to be ascertained, locals and police suspect that the youth was murdered over some past enmity and then set on fire.

On being informed, the scientific team also reached the spot and collected necessary pieces of evidence from the spot. Later, the body was sent for post-mortem.

However, the identity of the deceased is yet to be established.
