Paradip: Paradip Port Trust has emerged as the topmost of major ports in India in handling cargo in the first quarter of current financial year (2020-21).
Despite the first quarter (April to June) coinciding with the COVID-19 pandemic and nationwide lockdown, the Odisha port handled cargo amounting to 25.73 million metric tonne.
This is the maximum traffic recorded among major Indian ports for the quarter ending June 30, 2020, according to Government of India figures.
