Cuttack: Playback singer from Odisha Humane Sagar has landed in a soup with his wife accusing him of domestic violence.
According to sources, his wife, Shriya Mishra, met Cuttack DCP Pinak Mishra on Tuesday, alleging that Humane has been neglecting her for the past few months and torturing her physically as well as mentally. He would even beat her under influence of alcohol, she mentioned in her complaint.
“Singer Humane Sagar’s wife lodged domestic violence complaint against her husband yesterday. The complaint has been forwarded to Mahila police station. The duo will be first called to the police station for counselling,” informed the DCP on Wednesday.
Following the abuse, his wife reportedly left their CDA Sector-6 residence and has been staying at her father’s place in Balasore, the sources added.
Humane married Shriya, his fellow participant in the show Voice of Odisha Season 2, in 2017 and they are parents to a baby girl.
Last year, the popular singer of Odia film industry courted controversy after music director Debashis Mallick alias Japani alleged that he had refused to sing the bhajans of Lord Jagannath.
