Cuttack: Lalbagh police, on Thursday, arrested hard-core criminal Saeed Khan from Odia Bazaar area in Cuttack district.
Acting on a tip-off about Khan’s presence, a police team raided Odia Bazaar area and managed to nab him. A Bolero vehicle was seized from the criminal during raid.
“More than 20 criminal cases are pending against Khan at different police stations in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar. He is the key associate of Kendrapara-based gangster Tito alias SK Usman Ali”, a police officer informed.
The arrest came two days after DGP Rajendra Prasad Sharma issued an order asking the police officers to launch a month-long special drive to arrest wanted criminals across the state.
Through videoconferencing, the DGP had asked the Range IGPs, DIGs, twin cities DCPs and district SPs to immediately arrest the wanted criminals and anti-socials in their jurisdiction.
