Hash Oil Worth Rs 25L Seized, 4 Arrested As Police Bust Illegal Factory In Odisha



Malkangiri: In a major crackdown on drug racket in Odisha, police busted a cannabis oil (liquid ganja) manufacturing unit in Malkangiri district and arrested four persons involved in the illegal operation.

As per information, the illegal unit was located in a forest area of Barpadar Gram Panchayat under the juris

diction of Chitrakonda police station.

A police team conducted a raid on the illegal manufacturing unit and seized all equipment and chemicals used in producing the oil. Four persons involved in the racket were arrested from the site. Two of them were stated to be interstate traffickers from Andhra Pradesh.

Sources said police seized two litres of hash oil, worth around Rs 25 lakh and 30.1 kg of ganja during the operation.

A senior police official said enforcement drive against ganja and hash oil, and similar operations will be intensified in the district. .

The cannabis oil produced at the unit was being smuggled not only to different parts of the state but also to other states and even exported abroad.
