Mumbai: The Bombay High Court has allowed the petition filed by Aryan Khan seeking modification of his bail conditions in the rave party drugs on cruise case.
Bar and Bench reported that Justice Nitin Sambre on Wednesday exempted Shah Rukh Khan’s son from appearing at the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) office in Mumbai every Friday, which was one of the conditions laid down while granting bail to Aryan.
The NCB, which had arrested Aryan on October 2 after a raid on a cruise ship, did not oppose the plea.
However, NCB submitted before the high court that the bail condition be relaxed subject to the condition that Aryan should appear before the Special Investigation Team (SIT) in Delhi which is probing the case, whenever he is summoned.
“The counsel for NCB places on record reply, and he states that whatever is the modification can be granted in light of para 7 (of NCB reply). Sufficient notice is given. With aforesaid background, condition (i) and (j) stands modified. The applicant shall attend office at Delhi as and when summoned with a 72-hour prior notice,” the high court included in its order.
Bombay HC granted bail to Aryan along with co-accused Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha on October 28. A day later, the high court released the bail order with 13 conditions to be met by the three accused.
Aryan had pleaded that since the investigation has been transferred to a team in NCB’s Delhi office, his visits to the Mumbai office every Friday between 11 and 2 pm be relaxed.
