Cuttack: The Orissa High Court on Wednesday granted conditional bail to former BJD MLA from Bhawanipatna, Anam Naik.
The court directed him to cooperate with the police in the investigation.
Notably, officials of Jeypore Vigilance wing had conducted simultaneous raids on the house of Naik at Naktiguda in Bhawanipatna and his hotel at Madanpur-Rampur town on January 17 on the allegation of amassing properties disproportionate to his known sources of income. A week after the raid, Naik was arrested on January 23.
Naik was elected as MLA from Bhawanipatna Assembly constituency on BJD ticket in 2014.
