Bhubaneswar: Vigilance officials have arrested a head clerk in Baliguda in Kandhamal district and recovered over Rs 13 lakh cash from him.
The head clerk, Basant Pani, was caught while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 6,000 from a contractor for processing a file for release of Rs 2 lakh security deposit, Vigilance officials said.
During further searches, Rs 13.25 lakh cash was recovered from his house. Pani worked at the ITDA office in Baliguda.
