Baripada: The headless body of an elderly woman was found at Balibhola village near Karanjia in Mayurbhanj district on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Jamuna Hansda (62).
According to sources, some locals spotted the body in the morning and informed Karanjia police. Later, a police team reached the spot and sent the body for post mortem.
Police are yet to ascertain the motive behind the murder, but suspect it to be a fallout of sorcery or family feud.
