Headless Body Of Woman Recovered From Train In Puri

Puri: Headless body of a woman was recovered from a toilet of Gunupur-Puri train on Wednesday morning.

A passenger spotted the body lying in a pool of blood around 6:30 am when the train was in Puri and immediately alerted the railway officials.

Receiving information regarding the incident, a team of Government Railway Police (GRP) along with scientific team reached the spot, kept the bogie on platform no-8 and recovered the body from it.

The identity of the woman is not yet known. Police and passengers suspect that she was murdered and then dumped in the toilet of the passenger bogie.

Unconfirmed sources later said that the head of the woman was later recovered from Delang station. However, police are yet to confirm it.
