Headmaster, Peon Thrashed For ‘Harassing’ Girl Student In Mayurbhanj

Mayurbhanj: Locals thrashed the headmaster and a peon of Panchapalli High School at Khairibani under Betanati block in Mayurbhanj district on Monday for allegedly misbehaving with a tribal girl student.

Notably, peon of the school identified as Rabindra Sahoo had allegedly misbehaved with a Class-VIII girl student on Saturday.

On being informed by the girls, the villagers reached the school and beat them up.

Police soon reached the spot and brought the situation under control.

According to the sources, local police have detained Rabindra for interrogation.

The locals also blocked the Baisinga-Manatri road and demanded immediate action against the accused.
