The order issued by the office of the BEO said that on June 30, during official school hours, Das was allegedly found consuming alcohol in a public market.
It was further alleged that the headmaster later attended the school while being intoxicated, amounting to gross misconduct and behaviour unbecoming of a government servant.
During the suspension period, Das will have his headquarters at Balisahi UP School in Chandabali Block. He has been directed not to leave the headquarters without prior permission from the competent authority.
The order also states that he will be entitled to subsistence allowance and other admissible allowances as per the applicable rules during the period of suspension.
