Bhadrak/Jagatsinghpur: A headmistress of a primary school in Bhadrak district was suspended for dereliction of duty after a Class III student was allegedly raped inside the school on December 16.
The headmistress in-charge of Padmapokhari Primary School in Dhamnagar area of the district was also placed under suspension for making three students kneel down after fighting during the midday meal.
In Paradip, the headmistress of Balitutha Upper Primary School was arrested after the father of a girl student lodged a complaint at Kujang Police station, alleging that she had thrashed her daughter, a Class II student, mercilessly.
