Banki: Sleuths of Khurda Vigilance wing raided the house of a school headmistress, Rashmiprava Satpathy, in this town in Cuttack district on Thursday and arrested her for allegedly taking a bribe from a person.
Satpathy is the headmistress of a primary school at Ragani Sahi in Tulasipur.
According to Vigilance officials, Satpathy had demanded Rs 2000 as bribe from a person to provide him with a birth certificate. The person, however, lodged a complaint with Vigilance. Following this, sleuths laid a trap and caught the headmistress red-handed while taking the money.
