Health Condition Of COVID-Affected Odisha BJP Leaders Improving, Says AIIMS

Bhubaneswar: BJP leader and Leader of the Opposition in Odisha Pradipta Nayak is likely to be discharged from AIIMS Bhubaneswar while the health condition of deputy Leader of Opposition Bishnu Charan Sethi is stable.

The two BJP leaders had tested positive for COVID-19 and are  undergoing treatment at AIIMS.

“The health condition of Naik has improved a lot. It’s almost 50 days since he has been taken off ventilator. But, he is still in ICU,” informed Superintendent of AIIMS-Bhubaneswar Prof Dr Sachidananda Mohanty.

“There is a significant improvement in his health condition and he will be discharged soon,” he added.

The health of Sethi is also improving and is able to maintain oxygen saturation. He is undergoing treatment for kidney disease, Mohanty added.

It may be mentioned here that Naik was admitted to AIIMS on April 20 and Sethi on July 4.
