Barwani: A 60-year-old woman died hours after allegedly receiving the second dose of a COVID-19 vaccine in Barwani district, the India Today reported.
The deceased, identified as Rajni Sen, was a clerk with the Madhya Pradesh health department.
District collector Shivraj Singh Verma has asked the authorities to ascertain the exact cause of her death. “The CMHO informed me that the deceased might have suffered a brain haemorrhage (bleeding),” he was quoted as saying by the news magazine.
District’s chief medical and health officer (CMHO) Anita Singare said that Sen had received the second dose of the vaccine on Tuesday afternoon. Her condition deteriorated later in the day and she died during treatment at a private hospital late at night, she added.
