Jena on Thursday suspended four doctors over their alleged negligence in the state government’s Niramaya scheme.
The doctors who were suspended are- Dr Mamata Satpathy, Himanshu Sekhar Nanda, Talcher Sub-Divisional Medical Officer (SDMO) Dr Meena Kumari Dwari and Dr Sanjeev Mohapatra, who was appointed at Kanakpur primary health centre.
Niramaya, the Rs 200-crore free medicine distribution scheme was launched by the state government on May 1, 2015 with an aim to provide medicines to patients for free of cost at all government-run hospitals and district headquarters hospitals.
