Bhubaneswar: Health Minister Naba Das on Saturday said COVID-19 vaccination in the state was successfully completed on the first day with one person from Dhenkanal district reporting side-effects after taking the vaccine.
Speaking to media persons after the end of the vaccination drive for the day, the minister said the government has decided to administer the vaccine to all the people of the target group who have registered for the purpose in next 10 days. Total 3.38 lakh persons have registered their names to avail the vaccination.
Das further said the state government has held discussion with the Health Ministry regarding vaccination of people above 50 years of age in next phase.
The minister said overall health condition of the people vaccinated on the day has been reported to be stable except the solitary case of Dhenkanal whose details are awaited.
