Margao: Odisha FC suffered injury-time heartbreak on Thursday evening as they went down 0-1 to ATK Mohun Bagan in their third ISL-7 fixture.
With both teams looking set to earn a point each, Roy Krishna outjumped the Odisha defenders to head in a Sandesh Jhinghan free-kick past goalkeeper Kamaljit Singh in the 94th minute to hand ATK Mohun Bagan victory at Nehru Stadium Fatorda.
It was Odisha FC’s second defeat in three games. They had started their campaign with another narrow 0-1 defeat to Hyderabad FC before staging a remarkable fightback in the second half to draw 2-2 against Hyderabad FC.
ATK Mohun Bagan, on the other hand, went top of the table with their third win in as many matches, thanks to their goal-hungry striker Krishna. The Fijian, who was adjudged Hero of the Match, has now scored in all three games this season.
