Heat Wave: IMD Issues Orange Warning For Odisha, Red Alert In MP For 2 Days

Bhubaneswar: North, central and parts of eastern India will experience severe heat wave conditions in the coming days, according to an India Meteorological Department (IMD) prediction on Tuesday.

Warnings vary from state to state, region to region. In case of Odisha, Orange warning has been issued as very hot conditions expected to prevail in parts of Balangir, Bargarh, Nuapada, Sonepur, Boudh, Kalahandi, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Angul and Malkangiri districts for two days.

Orange alert has also been issued for two days in Chhattisgarh, while a Red alert has been flashed for as many days in west and east Madhya Pradesh, while the temperature is expected to go down only after 3 days.

Central India is already in the grip of extreme conditions, with the mercury soaring to 45 degrees Celsius at several places. According to IMD, Nagpur as recorded a maximum temperature of 47 degree Celsius on Tuesday.
