Cuttack: To deal with sunstroke cases this summer, a special ward will be opened at SCB Medical College and Hospital here from March 6.
According to sources, 20 beds will be reserved for the sunstroke patients in the special ward at Medicine ward of the hospital.
In a meeting held on Thursday, it was decided that 10 beds will be reserved for men and and the rest for women. The department HODs have also been instructed to reserve beds in ICU, central ICU and Medicine ICU.
Besides, new fridges will be purchased to stock ice pads, informed the SCB authorities.
