Bhubaneswar: Heavy rain lashed most parts of Odisha in the past 24 hours as on Friday. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that the rain will continue for the next four days till March 23.
The rainfall recorded in the last 24 hours till 8.30 am on Friday was highest in Baripada with 49.4 mm followed by Bhawanipatna (39.6), Balasore (36.2), Daringbadi (35), Cuttack (35), Hirakud (23), Paradip (21.5), Rayagada (21.4), Chandbali (21.2), Jharsuguda (20), Sundargarh (14), Titlagarh (14), Talcher (13), Keonjhar (12.4), Sambalpur (11.6), Angul (9), Gopalpur (8), Puri (7.3), Koraput (5.4), Boudh (5.1) and Bhubaneswar (2.5).
IMD has also issued a four-day (till March 23) yellow warning for thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph in the following districts.

Koraput, Rayagada, Ganjam, Puri, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Kandhamal and Kalahandi.
March 21
Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Khurdha and Puri.
March 22
Kandhamal, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapada and Jagatsinghpur.
March 23
Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Ganjam, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj.
